The Kansas City Whiskey Expo was founded on the idea that learning about whiskey can be seriously fun! It’s a true celebration of bringing people together who have a passion for all things whiskey. We are proud to host our event at the main ballroom at Harrah’s Kansas City Casino and Hotel. Harrah’s provides extraordinary first-class amenities such as food, lodging, Wi-Fi, personal facilities as well as entertainment, and a premium gaming experience all in one place. We had a phenomenal 2022, and we are looking forward to an even better 2023 event!

At the Expo, you will meet master distillers, master blenders, brand managers, and many other industry professionals from local, national, and international distilleries who will share their knowledge about their products personally with you. You will get to taste small batch, blended, straight, aged, single malt, single grain, cask strength, finished, wheated, peated, bourbon, and rye whiskies as you learn about what gives them their definition.

While the KCWE focuses on presenting the most comprehensive list of available whiskies to the metro, we certainly refuse to exclude those who don’t indulge in liquid sunshine. Other spirits such as vodka, tequila, rum, and gin will also be available by select vendors to sample along with limited wine & beer options. However, we strongly believe that there is a whiskey out there for everyone; you just have to find the right one.
